General information

Background: Kesgrave High School is a maintained comprehensive school for boys and girls aged 11 to 16. In June 2004, it took possession of a brand new purpose-built block for the communications faculty. Between June and September, a large amount of refurbishment and re-decoration tool place in mathematics, humanities and technology. The next development phase is taking place now: this will be a new physical education block attached to the sports hall and three new science laboratories. Kesgrave opened its own sixth form in September 2001 and it is very excited about the tremendous advantages of operating a sixth form that is genuinely an integrated part of the school community. The purpose-built accommodation includes eight teaching rooms and large sixth form learning centre, equipped with latest computer facilities, subject specific resources and higher education library. Sixth form groups will also use facilities throughout the school such as the new science laboratories, expressive arts and sports facilities. Its new purpose-built sports and arts accommodation has now been completed and has given it superb facilities in this thriving area of the school. Central to Kesgrave High School's ethos is the belief that every pupil, member of staff, parent and all others connected to the school have a right to be treated fairly and with respect.
