General information

Background: St Louis is a Catholic aided middle school that caters for children between the ages of nine and 13. An extensive programme of building and refurbishment has greatly enhanced the school's facilities. In addition to classrooms there are specialist teaching areas for science, French, music, drama, art and design, design and technology, ICT and physical education. The art and technology centre with its exhibition gallery provides exceptionally good facilities for the children. The second art studio is the latest addition and is fitted to a high specification. The library is well resourced and is central to all learning at the school. The school offers its children a range of opportunities in addition to the formal curriculum. Children may be involved in a variety of clubs and activities including dance, music, football, table tennis etc. Educational visits are also arranged to enrich the children?s experiences and to offer practical opportunities for learning. The school has a strong reputation for sport and pupils can participate in team games throughout the school year. Sporting facilities include a large gymnasium, two hard playing areas, a trim trail circuit and playing field. The school has been awarded the national standard of Investor in People. The school aims to develop the full potential of each child spiritually, academically, socially and physically within a happy, caring Christian community. .
