General information

Background: All Saints? Primary School is situated on the edge of the village of Leek Wootton, a small village between Warwick and Kenilworth. There has been a school in Leek Wootton for over one hundred years. The School was originally housed in a Victorian building in the village. The existing, purpose built primary school was built in 1996 as a result of re-organisation in Warwickshire and the village and church working in partnership to provide excellent facilities. The school is organized in four classes. In addition to these classrooms accommodation includes a hall, ICT suite, library, administrative rooms and excellent outdoor facilities.The school values out of school activities because it believe they offer children a wider range of experiences that enable them to develop interests and areas of knowledge not otherwise available to them. The school wants children to become fully rounded individuals with a broad base of hobbies and skills which they may develop as they wish in later life.Generally Extra Curricular Activities are organized by teachers on a voluntary basis. The school has links with some local clubs who provide paid activities. The support and expertise of parents and friends is always greatly appreciated. During a typical year the following activities may be offered: Sport ? football, netball, hockey, cross country running, rounders, cycling proficiency, cricket. Music ? choir, orchestra, ICT, French, Cookery, Gardening and Signing. Christian ethos is integral to all aspects of school policy, practice and relationships. The school hopes that the way all people are valued in school reflects the principle, 'Treat one another as you would wish to be treated yourself.' The basis of all decision-making in school begins with what is best for the child, as an individual, within a group and as a member of the whole school. The school appreciates the importance of developing the ?whole child? intellectually, physically, personally, morally, spiritually and socially.
