General information

Background: The present school buildings opened in 1968 and nestle amid attractive rural surroundings at the foot of The Mount, an historically significant local landmark within easy walking distance of the town centre. 'Excellent' facilities include a large hall, picturesque sports and playing field and well-equipped kitchen. Access to the buildings is governed by an electronic security system. The school is 'committed to ensuring that its pupils have the opportunity to pursue the widest possible range of extra-curricular activities' and is particularly proud of its pupils' musical talents. One in two children in Key Stage 2 plays an instrument, be it brass, clarinet, flute, keyboard, guitar, piano, oboe or violin. The school has its own orchestra and receives DFeS sponsorship for its brass band. Every pupils receives 12 hours of swimming tuition and the school always enters a teamn into the annual South Warwickshire Gala. Pupils in Years 5 and 6 look forward eagerly to the school's biannual extended visit. 'The school provides a caring yet challenging environment.' .
