General information

Background: The purpose-built school opened in 1989 and is situated near the church at Eastcourt. It offers four classrooms, a hall, library, kitchen, offices, staffroom and three mobiles. It is proud of its 'strong' community links which involve Christmas plays, carol and Easter services, Harvest thanksgiving, and singing in the community. Extra-curricular activities include recorder, football, cricket, netball, chess, craft and drama, and there is a five-day camp for older children every two years. Cycle training and work on road safety is also considered important. Much of the work in school allows those children with special needs to work at their own pace but extra help is available from teaching assistants, under the direction of teachers.
