General information

Background: St Edmund's School is situated on a pleasant site on the East of Salisbury, along with St Joseph's School (mixed/Catholic) and Wyvern College (boys). Its aim is to provide a secure yet challenging environment in which all can achieve as highly as possible. St Edmund's is fortunate to have a committed and experienced team of peripatetic music teachers. The school places a strong emphasis on participation in team sport. Every pupil has the opportunity to represent the school or tutor group in competition. Every year group has a netball, hockey, tennis, cross-country and athletic team which practices during the lunch hour and plays league fixtures during the evenings. The teams also attend area tournaments and trials. The pupils also have the opportunity to take part in inter-tutor group competitions, which take place every week throughout the year. During the lunchtime other organised activities take place, which include gymnastics, aerobics, badminton, trampolining. football, volleyball and rounders. The school aims to provide a secure yet challenging environment in which all can achieve as highly as possible.
