General information

Background: Hanley Castle High School is one of the oldest in the country. It is a secondary school and sixth form for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is 11 to 18. The school has specialist areas, which includes; six science laboratories, two computer rooms, two music rooms, a drama studio, two art studios and six technology areas. It offers broad, balanced, relevant curriculum to all pupils in the school, which reflects the national curriculum. The school activities are open to boys and girls. It provides the opportunity to students to represent the school in hockey, netball, rugby, football, volleyball, tennis, cricket, badminton, athletics, cross-country and swimming. The school facilitates a large sports hall facility providing four badminton courts, full size netball and basketball courts, indoor football, hockey, volleyball and tennis, a small fully equipped gymnasium, use of a multi purpose assembly hall, four netball or five tennis courts. The school aims to recognise the unique and immeasurable value of each individual regardless of abilities.
