Background: St Nicholas Church of England School is a voluntary controlled school, which was opened in 1976 as a purpose-built middle school catering for children aged nine to 12 years old. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include choir, athletics, drama, cross-country, dance, canoeing, football art, gardening, quilling and softball. The school aims to provide a safe, happy and challenging learning environment where everyone is valued, can achieve success and develop a positive attitude towards learning.
