General information

Background: St Augustine's Catholic High School was built in 1974 and has seen substantial growth and development over the years. It is a successful school with excellent academic results, strong pastoral care and a flourishing team. The school is presently applying to become a specialist school in science to enable itself to further improve learning and teaching which are the strengths of the school. It has an excellent musical reputation in the county for musical and sporting achievements and is renowned for fund raising for national and international charities. There is instrumental music tuition: a choir and two orchestras, a large number of sports club and teams, computing club, opportunities to take part in drama and musical productions, links with industry, European exchanges, field trips, work experience, community, the young enterprise initiative, year and school students council and a whole lot more. The school is committed to the development of the whole person, supporting each student to achieve personal and academic excellence in a warm and supportive environment. .
